A patient involved in RTA an hour prior to arrival to the hospital, presented with an obvious fracture of the femur from deformed limb, he had no detectable dorsalis pedis pulse, and he complained of loss sensation and power on the foot. He has a second injury on the anterior leg, with extensive skin and soft tissue loss: the anterior tibia is completely exposed. The resident surgeon who saw the patient worried that he will need a VAC on that leg, during initial care. Discuss approaches and resources needed to restore physiology, anatomy and functions
